DRIVERS are being urged to avoid one of the busiest roads in Southampton for five weeks.
Resurfacing and ironwork replacement will be carried out on Millbrook Road West westbound from November 8.
The city council has warned drivers that lane closures will be implemented for up to five weeks.
Traffic will be diverted via Shirley Road and Romsey Road. This will be signposted.
The council is yet to publish specific information, but has told residents to keep an eye on its travel Twitter page.
