DEFENDER Lyanco made some tiny Saints supporters' days when he invited them and their family into his home for a meet and chat in support of their crucial fundraising.

Little ones Reggie and Evan had been born in Neonatal units at Princess Anne Hospital last winter and have already faced battles with numerous life saving surgeries.

The parents are looking to give back by raising as much money as possible for the unit, having already raised over £1100.

Saints’ new signing Lyanco, who made his Premier League debut last weekend at Watford, showed his support with an invite for the family into his home.

There, he chatted with them and passed on a signed shirt and football boots from fellow Saints squad member Yan Valery, to go towards the auction.

Lyanco, who doesn’t even speak confident English yet and has to be assisted by Oriol Romeu, then shared the experience online to his Saints followers to raise further awareness.

On his Twitter, he said: “Today I met these special people that I love to help, and be part of their lives, even if it's with small gestures! God bless your life a lot! Thanks from the heart!”

Parent to Reggie, Kate Sturgess, said: “Our amazing boys met an amazing man,” and joked as she challenged more Saints stars: “Reggie and Evan’s diary is now open for meet and greet, if anyone wants to book!

"Thank you so much Lyanco for welcoming us in your home and the coffee was great meeting you and your lovely wife, also for your shirt for our auction and gift for the boys, hope to see you soon."

Lyanco has already made himself a fan favourite with his shows of passion and gratitude online, as well as shows of commitment on the pitch.

During the EFL Cup game at Chelsea's Stamford Bridge, a big tackle on the byline was enough to have him sitting shaking his fists enthusiastically in celebration.

The 24-year-old Brazilian looks Saints through and through.
