Police officers have taped off a boatyard in Priory Road, Southampton
A SOUTHAMPTON boatyard has been taped off this morning.
Police have set up a cordon in the St Denys area of Southampton near Cobden Bridge.
Officers are in Priory Road and an investigation is underway.
Residents reported hearing a police helicopter hovering above the river during the early hours of this morning and emergency services carrying out an operation.
Coastguard units were called to help, however, the Daily Echo has received confirmation it is a police incident.
The Echo has contacted Hampshire police for more information.
