IT’S the stylish tea room and cafe nestled amongst the beautiful waterways of the River Test which hosts everything from drive in cinemas to themed supper clubs.

Kimbridge Barn, just outside Romsey, opened in December 2018 following a complete restoration of the historic barn to create a beautiful modern event space with the original building converted into a tea room and café which extends into courtyards.

Specialising in breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea, weddings, special occasions and corporate events, Kimbridge Barn also boasts a large outdoor space with children’s play equipment and private courtyards.

Oliver Weeks, managing director of owners Ideal Collection, which boasts several unique and informal hospitality venues across Hampshire and West Sussex including The Bugle at Hamble and Swanwick Boat House Cafe, told the Daily Echo: "Our stylish informal hospitality along with working with the best food and drink producers in the area sets us apart from others.

"We are blessed with our location in the stunning surrounds of the River Test which instantly connects you with nature."

Daily Echo:

The Kimbridge Barn menu includes the likes of local trout or Belgian waffles for brunch, Croque Monsieur or fish finger sandwiches for lunch and steak for dinner, followed by one of a delightful selection of cakes. Afternoon tea is a truly indulgent experience and rooms are available for any occasion.

Previously Annie’s Kitchen and Tea Room and a farm shop, the venue is now a full service barn for weddings and private gatherings, including a dining area, bar, dancefloor and high quality culinary delights.

A host of weddings rescheduled during Covid have now taken place and events like the French Supper Club, Sip Sip Soiree and wreath making workshops are back on.
