A CYCLIST in his 50s has died after a crash with a lorry in Southampton.
Police were called to a 'serious' crash at Western Avenue, Millbrook at 6.07am this morning.
It was said that a lorry had collided with a cyclist at Dock Gate 20.
It has now been confirmed that the cyclist, a man in his 50s has died.
He was pronounced dead at the scene and his next have kin have been informed.
They are now being supported by specialist officers.
A 28-year-old man from Dudley has now been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
He remains in custody at this time.
Officers are now asking for any witnesses to come forward.
A police spokesperson said: "We are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision in Southampton this morning (11 November).
"Were you in the area at the time? Do you have dashcam footage of the incident?
