A NUMBER of road closures are set to be put in place as residents come together in Remembrance.

On Sunday, November 14, ceremonies and parades will take place across the two areas in remembrance of those who gave their lives in two world wars and over seventy other conflicts.

Below is a list of all the closures on Sunday if you are planning to travel by road:

Botley

The High Street is due to be closed from its junction with Mortimers Road to its junction with Winchester Street from 10:45am to 11.15am.

Eastleigh

A closure will be in place on Mitchell Road and heading through Wells Place, Desborough Road, Leigh Road.

This is due to a parade which is taking place between 10.00am and 11.45am with closures in place as the parade passes.

Fair Oak & Horton Heath

Fair Oak Road (including The Square) will be closed between its junctions with Botley Road and Summerlands Road.

The B3354 Botley Road and Winchester Road between Mortimers Lane and its junction with Eastleigh Road will also be shut.

This will take place between 10.30am and 12pm as the parade passes.

Hedge End

St Johns Road will be closed between its junctions with Bursledon Road and Alexandra Road from10.00am to 12.30pm.

Netley Abbey

Victoria Road is due to close along it's entire length from Grange Road to St Edwards Church from 10 am to 10.45am.

Southampton

Multiple roads will be closed across the city including Above Bar Street from New Road to Cumberland Place and Commercial Road From Havelock Road to Above Bar Street.

West Marlands Road and Gibbs Road will also be closed on the day along their entire length.

West End

The High Street will close from its junction with Lower New Road and Upper New Road to its junction with Moorgreen Road.

West End Road is closed from the High Street to New Road and St James Road from High Street to Woodlea Gardens.

This will take place between 10.30am and 11.30am.
