The A272 near Winchester will be closed between Petersfield Road and Cheesefoot Head.
A MAJOR road in Winchester is closed in both directions due to an overturned lorry.
Drivers are being warned of heavy delays as emergency services work to reopen the A272, Cheesefoot Head.
It is shut between the A31 junction, Petersfield Rd, and the Owslebury/Cheriton junction.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Roads Policing Unit said: "We are working with ambulance and fire to deal with an incident on the A272 at Cheesefoot head. Road it currently closed both ways."
