A FAMILY-run business offering a brand-new food ordering app is expanding its coverage and has recently launched in Hampshire, including Winchester.

What The Fork is an ordering app that combines ordering for takeaway, delivery and straight to the table, with an aim to “redefine and revolutionise the food and drink industry”.

When a business signs with What The Fork they get their own unique branded app that controls their delivery, collection and table orders as well as a free listing on the central What The Fork platform which acts as a hub for customers, rivalling the likes of Just Eat, Uber Eats and Deliveroo.

With a stronghold in Edinburgh and Fife in Scotland, the What The Fork platform has been robustly tested and developed over the past three years and is now helping takeaway and restaurant owners across new territories in the South East of England, the most recent launch being in Hampshire.

The company has only just launched in the county, but there are already several local restaurants and takeaways signed up to get their own branded app with What The Fork, with the central platform being launched in the area within the coming weeks.

Director Steven Coutts said: “The launch of our Hampshire licence is a moment of personal pride and reflection for me and all of those involved in What The Fork.

“Having more than proved our concept and approach in Scotland our mission now is to continue our expansion across the United Kingdom with a platform that allows our partners to thrive and not just survive and to take back control of their businesses. I look forward to welcoming businesses within Hampshire to our evolution.”
