THE spread of Covid in Southampton is as unpredictable as ever.
This map shows the number of cases reported in each district in the seven days to November 9, compared to the week before.
Cases halved (or more than halved) in three districts: Bassett Green – 21 cases, down 21; Bitterne South – 19 cases, down 25; Newtown and Nicholstown – 19 cases, down 19.
But in Central Southampton West, cases doubled: 36 cases, up 18.
Overall, nine of the 31 districts saw an increase in cases, two no change, and 20 a decrease.
As a whole, Southampton reported 973 cases, down 141 or 12.7%. This is a case rate of 384.4 per 100,000 people.
Hampshire reported 5,485, a decrease of 1,527 or 21.8% – lowering the case rate to 394.8 per 100,000 people.
County data does not include cases from Southampton or Portsmouth.
Clusters are shown when there are three or more new cases reported at any one time.
Anywhere with between zero and two cases are shown in white in order to "protect the privacy of individuals and prevent disclosure", the Government organisation states.
