Could this be a site for the long promised ice rink?
The news that the Iconic City Gas Works could be demolished (Echo 10 October) alongside the comment that the site will be subject to redevelopment, and with no mention in the plans at this stage of what could replace them, could this at last be the opportunity to seek the Council's interest in including an ice rink in future plans for the redevelopment of this site.
I am open to meeting with any City Council Officer to discuss this further. Also why not turn one of the gas holders into a hotel, which would greatly complement both an ice rink and the adjacent St Marys Stadium and thus retain one of the iconic gas holders that have been part of the City landscape for five decades.
