BUCKET collections at this year’s pantomime will raise money for the charity of Southampton Football Club.

Customers coming to see Cinderella this Christmas at Mayflower Theatre will be invited to donate to the charity through collections at the end of each performance.

Cinderella stars Richard Caddell and Sooty unveiled Saints Foundation as the pantomime’s charity partner in a special video message, which can be watched here.

The money raised will be used by Saints Foundation to support people across Southampton through their charitable projects, which help people become more involved, healthier and empowered members of the community. They support more than 5,000 people each year across all age ranges, from as young as four to over 100.

Jazz Bhatti, Saints Foundation Fundraising & Partnerships Manager, said: “It’s a special year for Saints Foundation as we celebrate 20 years of life-changing delivery here in Southampton.

“We’re really grateful to Mayflower Theatre for helping us celebrate in style and fundraise with bucket collections at the end of each performance. We hope everyone enjoys the magic of Cinderella and gives generously this festive season!”

Michael Ockwell, Mayflower Theatre Chief Executive, added, “I am delighted that Mayflower Theatre and the company of Cinderella are supporting Saints Foundation as our local charity partner this year. The work that the team do in our community is brilliant and essential. Whilst we are a cashless venue, we would appreciate audiences bringing some spare some money with them to donate through our bucket collections at the end of each performance.”

Cinderella will run at Mayflower Theatre from December 10 to January 4, with tickets still available via Mayflower’s website.
