A HOME was burgled after the owner was convinced to help find a 'lost cat'.

Police are hunting the man and woman in these CCTV stills following a distraction burglary in Winchester.

The incident happened between 10.20am and 10.50am on Thursday November 5 at an address in St Johns North.

The victim reported being at home when an unknown woman knocked on her door asking for help looking for her cat.

Whilst the victim was helping, another person has entered her property and a quantity of jewellery was stolen.

Officers have conducted a number of enquiries and are now turning to the public for help in identifying those pictured as part of their enquiries.

They are described as:

• A white woman, aged between 25 and 35-years-old, around 5ft 3ins tall with a slim build, with dark hair that was tied back. She was wearing dark clothing and had an Eastern European accent.
