AN appeal has been lodged after an application to use a wooden garden cabin as a holiday let was turned down.

New Forest District Council refused a retrospective application relating to Penny Fiddle, one of the homes at Betsy Lane, Bransgore.

The council said intensifying the of the property's back garden would have an harmful impact on neighbours.

"This is compounded by the limited level of amenity for both the host dwelling and future holiday makers in terms of the subdivision of the site and number of trees within it."

The council also said the proposal would result in future pressure to lop or fell protected trees.
