POLICE have released CCTV images of three people they would like to speak to in connection with a knife-point robbery at a Southampton park.

At around 12.35am on September 24, a group of six people – along with two other unknown people - were in Hoglands Park, near to the skate park and toilet block when the group were approached by a man who demanded they hand over their belongings while threatening them with a knife.

The man stole two wallets from people in the group before running off towards Kingsway, heading north.

No-one was injured.

The man was described as being black, approximately 6ft tall and wearing a grey hoody, black jogging bottoms, a black baseball cap and carrying a ‘man bag’.

Bank cards belonging to the victims were used soon after the robbery and officers would like to speak to the persons shown in the CCTV images to assist with their enquiries.

A 41 year-old woman from Southampton, who had been assisting police with their enquiries, has been released under investigation.

A spokesperson from Hampshire Constabulary said: "Is this you shown on the CCTV images? Do you recognise anyone in these images? Did you see anyone acting suspiciously in the area in the early hours of Friday 24 September?
