Local artists will take over medieval surroundings of God’s House Tower, offering a bespoke selection of artisan crafts and gifts all lovingly handmade.

From exquisite jewellery to eye-catching prints, pottery, and homewares, the market is an ideal place for shopping whilst supporting independent businesses.

Amy Harwood Illustration, Jasper and Juniper, Kat Wood Jewellery, Macondo Soap, Melissa Donne Studio, Peach and Home, Potter Rhi Ceramics, Rachel Reynolds Textiles, and Sew Ruthless are among the featured manufacturers and artisans.

GHT Cafe & Bar will be open to visitors, where an exclusive festive selection of locally sourced food and refreshments will be available, ranging from merry mulled wine to warming hot drinks including a delicious vegan hot chocolate from Peaberry Coffee, and indulgent bakes from Southampton favourite Hoxton Bakehouse.

God’s House Tower manager Hannah Preston said: “We are excited to launch our first ever Christmas Makers Market at GHT and bring some Christmas spirit to the Old Town.

“Supporting the creative community is at the core of our work so we’re delighted to provide an opportunity for local artists and makers to showcase their work in an event all the family can enjoy.”

On Saturday, November 27, God’s House Tower will host a Christmas in the Courtyard event to welcome the holiday season and unveil the Christmas tree.

The event is open to the public and is free to attend.
