AN investigation has been launched after a person was threatened with a knife following a burglary. 

At 7.15pm yesterday, police responded to reports of an aggravated burglary at an address on Lakewood Road, Chandler's Ford. 

It was said that two men had entered the property.

A neighbour, who heard a burglar alarm is said to have been threatened with a knife as the pair fled the scene. 

Now extra patrols are taking place in the area and members of the public are being asked for help as officers investigate the incident. 

Detective Sergeant Simon Price of Hampshire Constabulary’s Operation Hawk team, said: “We are keen to hear from anyone who may have been in the area at the time and who may have seen any suspicious vehicles or people in the locality yesterday. 

“Our officers will be carrying out extra patrols in the area to provide reassurance to the local community and to continue their enquiries.”
