CCTV footage has been released after multiple attempted burglaries at boats moored at a New Forest Quay.
In the early hours last Sunday, two men were seen looking into boats moored at Lymington Town Quay.
Police say a number of boats were boarded with one vessel entered by forcing open a locked hatch.
This is said to have gone on until the pair were disturbed when they tried to enter a boat to find the owner was asleep inside.
The men were then seen fleeing the area.
Now officers are appealing to the public for help and have released a CCTV image of someone they would like to speak to in relation to the incident.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Police said: "While we appreciate that the image is not particularly clear, we are hoping that someone may recognised the pair of distinctive camouflage trousers in the image.
Do you know who this person is? Were you in the area at the time? Did you see anyone or a vehicle acting suspiciously in those early hours? Or perhaps you have CCTV or doorbell footage which may be able to assist us with our enquiries."
Anyone with information is being asked to call 101, quoting reference 44210471576. Alternatively, this can be submitted via https://www.hampshire.police.uk/tua/tell-us-about/cor/tell-us-about-existing-case-report/.
