A YELLOW weather warning has been issued this morning for Southampton after temperatures plummeted last night.
The ice alert from the Met Office, which covers most of the county, warns drivers to be careful on the roads, and pedestrians to be wary when out and about.
It warns that there may be "some icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths" which could "make accidents more likely and journey times longer". The alert added that "icy surfaces are likely, increasing the risk of slips and falls".
Last night was the coldest of the season so far🥶
