CIVIC chiefs are set to discuss how accessible transportation is across Southampton.

At a council meeting today, councillors will consider comments made by guests in order to compile evidence on how accessible transport is for those in the city.

To inform the panel, councillors will receive feedback from bus operators, Southampton Airport and taxi operators in the area.

The views of Disabled People are also due to be heard as the Panel will receive feedback on the key issues raised at the Spectrum CIL convened Accessible Southampton Focus Group meeting.

Once the review has been completed, the panel is then set to compile a file of evidence in order to make recommendations for the council on what changes can be made to make transport more accessible.

The meeting will take place at 5.30pm virtually and will be accessible to the public via the council's website.
