CHAPEL Sessions, the not for profit occasional music series, is to return to The Chapel at Royal Victoria Country Park this weekend with a folk favourite.

Welsh folk supergroup Calan will bring their trademark brand of high-energy routines, verve and raw excitement to the intimate setting on Sunday night (December 5).

They've already been voted ‘Best Band’ at the inaugural Wales Folk Awards (2019) and ‘Best International Band’ at France’s gigantic Lorient Festival, often thought of as the World Cup of folk music.

This brand new show includes numbers from their latest studio album.

Expect stunning playing, beautiful songs and soaring harmonies...with added virtuoso step dancing!

Calan’s legion of fans saw them sell out a previous Christmas session at The Chapel in 2018.

Tickets, priced £16, are available from eventbrite.

The Chapel Sessions events continue on December 11 with five piece local rock band The Burns Unit performing the likes of The Animals, Santana, The Rolling Stones, ZZ Top, Led Zep, Clapton and The Beatles at St Edwards Church Hall in Netley.
