TWO men have been arrested after a car flipped on its side and smashed into four other vehicles in Southampton last night.
Five cars were damaged following a crash in Church Street.
Emergency services raced to the scene of the incident in the Shirley area of the city at around 6.20pm last night.
Two men - aged 28 and 35 - have since been arrested on suspicion of driving over the prescribed limit of alcohol and theft from a motor vehicle.
Meanwhile, a 37-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker.
All three remain in police custody at this time.
According to Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service, four of the vehicles had been parked at the time.
Firefighters from Redbridge and St Mary's Stations helped to make the area safe.
Paramedics were also called to treat two people for injuries.
A spokesperson for Hampshire police said: "We were called around 6.20pm yesterday (December 2) to a report of a single-vehicle collision on Church Street, Southampton.
"Officers attended and three people were arrested.
"A 28-year-old and 35-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of driving over the prescribed limit of alcohol and theft from a motor vehicle.
"A 37-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker."
