AN EMERGENCY closure of Poole Lifting Bridge has been ordered due to a fault requiring investigation work.
In a social media post, BCP Council said an emergency closure of the rising bridge at the end of Poole Quay was necessary for “investigation work and potential repair work”.
They also said pedestrian and maritime traffic will be unaffected.
This comes one week after heavy winds left Twin Sails Bridge, also in Poole, unable to be lifted.
The Daily Echo has approached BCP Council for more information.
