A BMW was severely damaged by fire in Winchester city centre.
The vehicle was parked on Middle Brook Street close to North Walls when the fire started yesterday afternoon.
A bystander said firefighters quickly put out the flames which centred on the engine. The cause was unclear. No-one is thought to have been hurt.
It was also unclear if the fire engine was delayed by the heavy traffic in Winchester caused by the Christmas market.
Winchester Fire Station used to be on North Walls but is now on Easton Lane in Winnall which was heavily congested yesterday afternoon.
