PLANS to upgrade a house by building a detached single-storey annexe for family use have been withdrawn by the applicant.
New Forest District Council is no longer studying an application relating to one of the properties at Milverton Road, Totton.
The town council had recommended NFDC to approve the application, but it also sparked several letters of objection from people living in the area.
One protester said: "Downspark Crescent service lane is unsuitable for heavy commercial vehicles delivering building materials.
"The proposed annexe is larger than other outbuildings and not in keeping.
"We are concerned that if this proposal is passed it will enable other residents to do the same, thus creating a mini estate all using our service lane."
