A HAMPSHIRE road has been closed for emergency repairs to a gas line.
The A334 in Curdridge has been shut for engineers to make emergency repairs.
Motorists are being urged to avoid the area, however, diversions are in place.
It is currently unknown how long the route will be closed.
A statement on the SGN website says: "We're carrying out emergency repairs to our gas main in the A334, Curdridge, Southampton.
"For everyone's safety, we need to close the junction where the A334 meets Reading Room Lane and Outlands lane.
"Motorists will be unable to move through this junction from any direction. Local signed diversions will be in place.
"We know this is a busy junction, so will be working as quickly as possible to complete repairs, however at this stage, it's still too early to say how long this will take."
