Alerts were also issued for Mansbridge, Riverside Park, Hamble, Southampton Water, Milford on Sea, Lymington, and Beaulieu estuary.
Water spilled into the road at Weston Shore, along Weston Parade, and the road was closed to traffic.
The water was remarkably deep and made it near impossible for drivers to pass through, with many turning around and going back in the direction they came.
The water stretched across the road and onto the grassland opposite the shore.
Flooding also affected other parts of Hampshire, and a baby and an adult had to be rescued from a flooded car at Hillhead Harbour.
According to coastguard services, water had breached the seawall and the car was submerged up to its wheel arches.
Both the adult and the baby were brought to safety.
Elsewhere, Moorhill Road in West End was partially blocked after strong gusts blew down a tree.
Vehicles were directed past the tree one side of the road at a time.
Areas such as Hythe, Lymington and Eling in Totton were also greatly impacted by flooding.
Strong winds and heavy rain showers impacted travel services across the county too.
The service between Lymington Pier and Brockenhurst on South Western Railway was suspended due to poor weather conditions.
Numerous bus services in Southampton were diverted or cancelled as many routes were disrupted by flooding.
A yellow weather warning for wind has been issued for today, but it narrowly misses Southampton.
