A SOLENT University graduate has been nominated for the UK Music’s Outstanding MAP Graduate Award 2021.
The award, for Melody Perry, honours Music Academic Partnership (MAP) alumni and recognises the industry’s most ‘dynamic, inventive, and ground-breaking students’.
Melody said "I am extremely proud to have been both nominated and shortlisted for the awards.
"I am so grateful to all my lecturers at Solent. Without their support, I wouldn’t have been so prepared to enter the working world as a graduate."
James Hannam, Course Leader in Music Industries, says: "We are delighted that Melody has been shortlisted for this prestigious award. Melody achieved high grades during her time at Solent, balancing her academic work with a burgeoning career in publishing.."She thoroughly deserves her success, and we look forward to following her career as it develops further."
After graduating in music management this year, the 21-year-old secured a full-time position at San Remo, where she started independently managing producer/songwriter Cameron Nesbitt.
The winner will be announced on Thursday, 9 December at the MAP member London College of Creative Media (LCCM)’s The Music Box.
