LEADING law firm Blake Morgan has again been listed in the Inclusive Top 50 UK Employers List, which recognises those UK companies dedicated to ensuring diversity in the workplace.

Blake Morgan has been ranked in 43rd place for 2021/22, meaning the firm has been listed in the Top 50 for five consecutive years, and representing a continued push from the firm to lead by example as an inclusive employer.

The rankings are a definitive list of UK organisations that promote inclusion across all protected characteristics throughout each level of employment. They are a dynamic and exclusive resource, identifying employers who lead the way across all strands of diversity – age, disability, gender, LGBT, race, faith, and religion. To be considered for the rankings, the firm was required to provide significant evidence of its work in a range of areas, including recruitment procedures, training, workforce data and diversity related initiatives and education.

Blake Morgan is also a signatory of the Business in the Community (BITC) Race at Work Charter, the Social Mobility Pledge, and the Law Society’s Women in Law Pledge. The firm has a committed Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) committee, a newly appointed and dedicated EDI Specialist, and a wealth of resources, including an internal training academy that actively seeks to raise awareness and provide support and guidance to all within the business.

Kath Shimmin, chair at Blake Morgan, said: “We are immensely proud to have been named in the Inclusive Top 50 UK Employers List for the fifth year running. Blake Morgan has a long-standing commitment to providing equal opportunities in the workplace, and this underpins everything that we do across our policies, processes and management. It is immensely gratifying to see our work and continued progress once again being recognised by such a respected body.”
