A TRIO of new senior staff have joined the talented team at Hampshire based chartered accountants, HWB.

Business growth has prompted the expansion and Emma Kemp, Shelley Harding and Joe Wilson join at a pivotal time for the firm.

Emma Kemp is HWB’s new Marketing Executive. She brings with her extensive experience of service marketing having worked for two regional law firms for more than 12 years.

A key area she is keen to develop for HWB is their digital presence and to increase their use of video.

“I have joined HWB at a busy time and it’s great to be able to help the business reinvigorate their marketing and especially be running events after lockdown. We will be focusing on our social media activity and looking to increase our interaction online. HWB knows its market and are very sector focused - I am interested to see how we can use more digital methods  to support our marketing messages.”

Tax Manager Joe Wilson explained marriage and moving to the area had prompted his decision to join HWB.

Having studied accounting and finance at university in Exeter, and having gained a first in the tax module, Joe has since specialised in income tax planning and advising owner managed businesses.

Away from work he is a youth worker with his church and enjoys playing football.

Shelley Harding joins at a busy time for the HR department with 19 new starters this year and a growing trainee scheme in place.

She was previously in charge of HR matters at the Weald and Downland Living Museum near Chichester and has worked in HR for 20 years.

“I am joining HWB at an interesting time for businesses as we come through the pandemic. A hybrid working policy is currently being adopted that allows senior staff to work  between  home and  the office.”

Managing Director Geoff Rhodes said Emma, Joe and Shelley joined the team at an interesting time for the company.

“We have experienced a sustained period of growth and hence the need to build our team. We welcome Emma, Joe and Shelley and look forward to seeing them further develop their careers at HWB,” he said.
