THE most expensive streets in Southampton have been revealed.
Using data from property experts, Zoopla, we have looked at where the most pricey properties in the city centre are.
This comes after it was revealed that the average asking price for a property in the city stands at £306,233.
The average monthly rent is £1,679 pcm.
Prices do not seem to vary an awful lot between different property types, as highlighted by this graph by Zoopla:
Here are the top five most expensive streets in Southampton city centre, according to ‘Zed Index’ estimates (average property value):
1. Calshot Court, Channel Way, £757,480
The average price for property in Calshot Court stood at £757,480 in December 2021.
This is a rise of 1.14% in the last three months (since September 2021) and rise of 4.65% since 12 months ago.
In terms of property types, flats in Calshot Court sold for an average of £668,560 and terraced houses for £780,728.
2. Alcantara Crescent, £395,669
The average price for property in Alcantara Crescent stood at £395,669 in December 2021.
This is a rise of 1.68% in the last three months (since September 2021) and rise of 5.21% since 12 months ago.
In terms of property types, flats in Alcantara Crescent sold for an average of £277,774 and terraced houses for £512,490.
3. John Street, £394,893
The average price for property in John Street stood at £394,893 in December 2021.
This is a rise of 1.68% in the last three months (since September 2021) and rise of 5.21% since 12 months ago.
In terms of property types, flats in John Street sold for an average of £235,625 and terraced houses for £421,018.
4. Oxford Mews (the next road over from John Street), off Latimer Street, £391,124
The average price for property in Oxford Mews stood at £391,124 in December 2021.
This is a rise of 1.68% in the last three months (since September 2021) and rise of 5.21% since 12 months ago.
In terms of property types, flats in Oxford Mews sold for an average of £235,625 and terraced houses for £391,124.
5. Maritime Walk, £383,767
The average price for property in Maritime Walk stood at £383,767 in December 2021.
This is a rise of 1.68% in the last three months (since September 2021) and rise of 5.21% since 12 months ago.
In terms of property types, flats in Maritime Walk sold for an average of £383,767 and terraced houses for £264,831.
