AN AREA of vacant land in Southampton could be turned into a three-storey flat block.
Plans have been submitted to Southampton City Council proposing the erection of a three-storey building containing five new flats on the land adjacent to 51 Victoria Road.
The land is currently vacant and only plays host to an advertising board.
The site sits to one end of the Woolston shopping parade and provides a link between retail and residential.
Abutting the site is a three-storey property which at ground floor houses a hair studio and residential accommodation above.
The flats would also have amenity space, bin and cycle storage.
The proposal seeks to provide five flats in a single building. The units are to comprise of two two-bed flats and three one-bed flats.
