A MULTI-MILLION-POUND superclub - set to be one of the biggest in Britain - is to open in Southampton later this year.
The enormous multi-themed venue - called Oceana Southampton - will open in the city's Leisure World complex in September after an estimated £6m makeover.
It will replace popular nightclubs Ikon and Diva which closed for refurbishment this month. Jumpin Jaks and the bowling lanes of Hotshots will also form part of the new venue.
Based on famous world locations, the new superclub will consist of two nightclubs, five bars, VIP rooms and a restaurant.
Each room will be based on themes including New York, Monte Carlo, Tahiti, Paris, Louisiana, Milan and the Icelandic capital Reykjavik.
With a capacity of up to 3,000, owners Luminar expect to draw partygoers from all over the south.
