A SOUTHAMPTON man caught drink driving with no licence or insurance has been banned from the roads.
Jaypal Khaira was caught drink driving on Above Bar Street in Southampton on September 23 last year.
The 30-year-old was found to have 65 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeding the legal limit of 35 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
He was found to be driving without a licence or insurance, and wilfully obstructed a police officer.
Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court, he pleaded guilty to one count of drink driving, one count of driving without a licence, one count of driving without insurance and one count of wilfully obstructing a police officer while executing his duty.
Khaira, of The Polygon, Southampton, was disqualified from driving for 46 months and was handed a community order.
He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £95 and court costs of £100.
