RESIDENTS have been warned to be vigilant after a recent spate of thefts from vehicles.
Police in the Test Valley have taken to social media to warn those living in the area about the on-going rise.
They claim that windows are being smashed through and items are then being stolen.
Isolated beauty spot car parks are said to be a hot spot for these crimes.
A police spokesperson said: “Please be vigilant and report any suspicious activity to us and do not leave anything in your vehicle, even under seats.”
Motorists in the area are now being advised to take all their valuables with them when leaving their vehicle. Furthermore, they should lock all doors.
