Hampshire police say the boat was taken at around 11.10pm on December 22, but was later recovered nearby at the Royal Southern Yacht Club.
The CCTV images show four men jumping a gate at the side of the Yacht Club and can be seen on the pontoon at about 11.25pm that same evening.
Did you see anyone acting suspiciously
A spokeperson for the police said: "We appreciate that the CCTV is not the clearest, but perhaps you recognise the people in the footage? Did you see anyone acting suspiciously at the time either around Hamble Quay or the Royal Southern Yacht Club?
"Anyone with information relating to this incident, or similar incidents in the Hamble Quay area in recent months, is asked to call 101 quoting crime reference number 44210512177."
