PART of a major route in Southampton is closed for the second day for emergency works.
A utility cover collapsed on Redbridge Causeway yesterday (January 11).
This has forced the closure of the second lane of the eastbound carriageway as contractors work to fix it.
It is likely to remain closed for at least a couple of days and the work is being conducted by Southern Water.
Traffic delays are likely to reach up to one hour during the busiest times as the work continues.
