SOLENT University is teaming up with Hampshire’s leading mental health charity to support young people and their families with their mental health.

The university, along with Solent Minds, will provide free mental health workshops to support young people, their parents and carers, and the education practitioners who engage with them daily.

The Let's Talk: Mental Health workshop will start running on Monday, 7 February online via Zoom.

This 90-minute session, from 4pm to 5.30pm, will help parents gain an understanding of mental health and wellbeing and how someone experiencing mental ill-health might feel.

Another session from 6pm until 7.30pm is available to those who are unable to attend the first meeting.

People who are attending this course will also examine ways of maintaining their mental health and wellbeing.

The session will culminate in a 30-minute Q&A panel with Solent Mind specialists, special guests, and Solent University's support team.
