ROADWORKS are due to take place across Southampton next week.

Below is a list of all the works to be aware of if you're out and about in the city by road:

Brownhill Way/Frogmore Lane/Lower Brownhill

A major highway improvements scheme is in progress after beginning on October 14 and will last until the end of March 2022.

Phase 1 is set to last until January 17 and includes lane closures on Brownhill Way.

Meanwhile, a full road closure of Lower Brownhill Road including no access to Lower Brownhill from Colne Avenue is also in place.

Two-way traffic will be maintained on Brownhill Way at all times and temporary signals will be located on Frogmore Lane.

Coxford Road

There will be one-way restricted access northbound between Lordshill Way and Greywell Avenue Northbound lasting until April 2022.

This comes as part of a highway improvements scheme which began on January 4.

Shirley Avenue

A full road closure will be in place on January 17 between the hours of 10am and 2pm.

This is so that water repairs can take place.

Wimpson Lane

The road will be closed Northbound from January 23 to January 24 between the hours of 11pm and 6am.

This is so that telecom repairs can be carried out and will see a lane closure between Green Park Road and Millbrook Roundabout.

Thomas Lewis Way

A signal improvements scheme is ongoing in the area until January 27 having began on January 10.

Phase 1 will see two-way signals by the railway bridge from January 10 to January 22 between the hours of 7pm and 6am.

During phase 2 a road closure will be put in from Portswood Road spur link to the lane narrowing on Thomas Lewis Way from January 24 to January 25.

Phase 3 will have temporary traffic signals on Thomas Lewis Way at Bevois Hill and Lodge Road junction from January 26 to January 27 between 8pm and 6am.

Mansbridge Road

Temporary signals will be put in at the Howard Close junction from January 17 and will remain there until January 31.

These will be active 24-hours a day for gas main replacements.

Threefield Lane

The road will be closed from Bernard Street to College Street as of January 2020 at 8pm until 6am.

This is so that water repairs can be carried out.
