TWO people have been arrested after a man was attacked and robbed in the street on New Years Day.
Police in Totton say that on January 1 at around 3.37pm, the man in his 60s was approached by a man and a woman on Ringwood Road.
The man was subsequently assaulted with cash and a bicycle being taken from him.
He was later taken to Southampton General hospital with a head injury but has since been discharged.
Now a 25-year-old woman and a 31-year-old man of no fixed abode have been arrested on suspicion of robbery.
They have been released under investigation while police continue their enquiries.
