A PROPOSAL to convert an outbuilding in the New Forest National Park into extra living space has been withdrawn.

The Lymington-based National Park Authority is no longer studying an application relating to Fernlea Farm at Godshill.

The application said: "The building has been used periodically for domestic storage but the applicants would like to utilise this space to provide ancillary accommodation to the main house.

"The main space will house a games room and home gym for the family and a home office.

"The visual appearance of the building will be enhanced by replacing the existing asbestos roofing with powder coated corrugated metal sheeting.

"The doors and windows are to be replaced with new timber and UPVC double glazed units."
