THE family of a man found dead at his Hampshire home has paid tribute to the 23-year-old.
Father-of-one Shaun Wells, of Whitsbury Road, Fordingbridge, was discovered on Sunday morning.
A statement from his family reads: "Shaun was born and grew up in Fordingbridge. When he left school he started work in the building trade as a ground worker.
"Shaun enjoyed socialising with his friends and playing pool. He was a keen football fan and supported Manchester United.
"He was close to his family and had a young son, who did not live with him but they saw each other regularly.
"Shaun will be sadly missed by his family and numerous friends. We hope something can be gained from this tragic loss of life at such a young age and that lessons can be learned to prevent another needless death in the future.
"We, his family, would ask anyone who may have information which would help police with their investigation into Shaun's death to contact them.
"We would also like to thank the people of Fordingbridge for their support following our son's death, especially those who have already provided police with information."
Following the discovery of his body, two men were arrested on suspicion of supplying a controlled substance. They were later released on bail pending further enquiries.
