Police and ambulance attended an incident in Winchester city centre today.
The incident took place by the bus stops on The Broadway, outside Abbey Gardens near the King Alfred statue.
Police closed the road for a short time to allow the ambulance to get through.
A witness near the scene said that an elderly gentleman had suffered a medical episode next to the bus stops.
A spokesperson from Hampshire Constabulary said: "Police were called at 10.52am this morning to assist the ambulance service who were with a patient on the High Street. The man had suffered a medical episode and was transported to hospital."
