A TOTTON fly tipper who dumped mattresses, broken furniture, plaster board and bricks in a number of incidents has been handed a suspended sentence.
Kenneth Dibden appeared in Southampton Magistrates' Court following a number of fly tipping incidents.
On February 17, 2021, the 55-year-old dumped plasterboard, concrete and bricks on Luzborough Lane in Romsey.
On March 20 last year, he dumped plaster board, , bathroom furniture, tiles and other general construction waste on Tanners Lane in West Wellow.
On March 28, he then dumped three double mattresses, a single mattress, three divan bases and broken furniture outside The Premier Way at Abbey Park Industrial Estate in Romsey.
He pleaded guilty to three counts of fly tipping controlled waste, and three counts of transporting waste while not being a registered carrier of controlled waste in the course of business with a view to profit.
Dibden, of Salisbury Road, Totton, was committed to prison for a total of 18 weeks suspended for 18 months, and was fined £1,500.
He was also disqualified from driving for three months and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £128.
