A MAN who assaulted a woman in Southampton has been handed a restraining order.
Ziemowit Piotr Szczepanski appeared in Southampton Magistrates' Court after he assaulted a woman in the city on March 25 last year.
The 38-year-old pleaded not guilty but was found guilty of assault by beating.
Szczepanski, of no fixed address, was handed a restraining order banning him from contacting his victim until January 11, 2023.
He was also handed a community order and fined £150 as well as £100 compensation, £95 victim surcharge and £620 court costs.
