A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of drug offences after a police chase through a New Forest village.
Around midday on January 19, officers carrying out patrols in Holbury spotted a suspicious vehicle on Faircross Close.
Having approached it, a man then got out of the vehicle as if to speak to them, before driving off at speed.
He is then said to have abandoned the vehicle at the end of the road, taking off on foot and sparking a search across the area.
The man was later found a short distance away on Roewood Close.
A search by officers later uncovered a quantity of Class A, a quantity of Class B drugs and cash – all of which was seized.
Now a 28-year-old man from London has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class A drug and possession with intent to supply a Class B drug.
He has been released on conditional bail until February 16, pending further police enquiries.
