AN INQUEST has been opened into the death of a Southampton woman after she was found fitting in her bedroom.

Emergency services were called to the home of Trina Georgette Winsor, in Northern Road, on October 10 after her housemate had gone into her room to borrow £10 and found her fitting and foaming at the mouth. She was pronounced dead at her home.

An inquest has now been opened into her death by senior coroner Christopher Wilkinson at Winchester Coroner’s Court.

The hearing was told that the 51-year-old had a history of epilepsy which was often managed at home, but she was admitted to Southampton General Hospital on July 17 with a seizure.

A post mortem was carried out and the cause of death has been given as drug toxicity and epilepsy.

Mr Wilkinson adjourned the hearing for a full inquest to take place on July 25.
