HAMPSHIRE motorists will have seven road closures to avoid this week - with one expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

Six of the following National Highways M27 closures are already in place and the majority are expected to only cause delays of 10 minutes or under.

Most of the closures are due to smart motorway works. 

Here are the closures drivers need to look out for this week: 

  • From 9pm October 11 2018 to 6am February 6 2022:

Slight delays (under 10 minutes).

M27 eastbound, junction 5, slip road closures for M27 Smart Motorways, diversion via Highways England network.

From 8pm January 12 to 6am February 7:

Slight delays (under 10 minutes). 

M27 eastbound and westbound, junction 5 to 7, Lane closures for resurfacing.

From 8pm October 17 2019 to 6am February 7 2022:

Slight delays (under 10 minutes).

M27 westbound, junction 5 to junction 4, carriageway closure for M27 Smart Motorways, diversion via local authority network.

From 9pm October 24 2018 to 6am February 10 2022:

Slight delays (under 10 minutes).

M27 westbound, junction 8, slip road and lane closures for M27 Smart Motorways, diversion via National Highways network.

From 9pm October 24 2018 to 6am February 10 2022:

Slight delays (under 10 minutes).

M27 westbound, junction 8, slip road and lane closures for M27 Smart Motorways, diversion via National Highways network.

From 8pm January 19 to 6am March 5:

Moderate delays (10 to 30 minutes).

M27 eastbound, junction 8 to junction 9, carriageway closure for M27 Smart Motorways, diversion via local authority network.

And one more closure will begin over the next seven days:

From 8pm February 6 to 6am March 16:

Slight delays (under 10 minutes).

M27 westbound, junction 7 to junction 4, carriageway closure for M27 Smart Motorways, diversion via local authority network.
