YOUNG dance school pupils showed off their impressive talents in a celebratory anniversary show.

Members of Dance & Cheer-a-cality performed to a sold-out audience at the Berry Theatre in Hedge End on Saturday.

An amazed crowd watched as the 170 youngsters - aged three to 16 - executed the dance and cheerleading routines they spent 14 weeks perfecting.

Lara Hallam, from Gosport, formed Dance & Cheer-a-cality in 2011.

She said: "The audience and the kids all loved it, feedback has been great, it was really nice to just do something.

"We started lessons in September for the January show, with Christmas it meant there were 14 weeks of lessons.

"I think they all sparkled."

"The last show was pre-covid so about 50 per cent of the kids were new to the stage, they were all great.

"Because the world stopped for so long, some of them had never been to a theatre before, let alone perform on stage, they did fantastically well."
