A MAN who stole a number of power tools worth more than £600 has been jailed.
Mark Hughes stole a £299 Karcher Pressure Washer from a B&Q store in Fareham on September 15 last year.
Then, on October 1, the 47-year-old stole various power tools including Ryobi Cordless Combi Drill and impact driver, an Erbauer Cordless Reciptrocating saw, a Bosch Cordless multi tool and a Ryobi Cordless Circular saw worth £320 from Nursling.
Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court, he pleaded guilty to two counts of theft.
Hughes, of Battery Hill, Bishop's Waltham, was jailed for a total of 16 weeks and was ordered to pay compensation of £619.
