GRAB YOUR dancing shoes as a celebration of all things pop and 80s is returning to Southampton this summer. 

The Let's Rock Festival will arrive with a bang on July 9 at Southampton Common, bringing festival-goers a taste of the 80s.

Thousands of revellers are expected to attend this year's event, which includes appearances from Billy Ocean and Adam Ant.

As well as entry to the event, VIP tickets include fast track entry, luxury loos, meal and welcome drink, plus exclusive DJ sets.

How do I get there? Can I park?

There is no parking on Southampton Common, so the organisers have arranged a shuttle bus and park & ride service with Xelabus.

Here are the services:

  • Service X80 from Town Quay or Southampton Central Station (Southside)

A 10 minute service will operate from 9.3AM to 1.20PM from Southampton Central Station (Southside) to and from The Common.

Then, every 30 minutes from 1.30pm until 6.30pm.

A 30 minute service will operate from Town Quay for Isle of Wight and Hythe festival goers from 9.30am until 1pm then hourly until 5pm.

Buses will return at frequent intervals during the evening but a high number of buses will
leave The Common from 10pm until 11pm.

An adult return costs £7 and a child return (aged five to 15) costs £5 and tickets must be pre-booked. 

  • Service X81 from Barton Peveril College, Eastleigh (Park and Ride)

Barton Peveril College, Chestnut Avenue, Eastleigh SO50 5ZA Park and Ride site.

A 15 minute service with additional journeys will operate from 9.30am to 1pm then every 30 minutes until 6.30pm.

Buses will return at frequent intervals during the evening but a high number of buses will
leave the Common from 10pm until 11pm.

There is no charge for parking at this location.

An adult return costs £7 and a child return (aged five to 15) costs £5 and tickets must be pre-booked. 

How much do tickets cost?

There are three types of tickets available for festival-goers.

This includes: Adult (aged 13+), Child (three to 12 years old) and VIP.

Food, glorious food!

Attendees can bring their own picnic into the main arena, but a wide variety of catering is on offer, including:

  • A large BBQ 
  • Indian 
  • Mexican
  • Chinese.

However, alcohol is not allowed to be brought in or out of the arena, but a range of premium alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks will be on sale from the on-site bars.
